The Kingdom of Nidora has never felt like home to Delphinia. It’s cunning High Queen has turned a blind eye to the struggles Delphinia and others have endured for years. Utilizing the strained relationship Nidora has with the other kingdoms for her own benefit, Queen Holone keeps her kingdom in the dark. Delphinia hopes that by keeping her head down and pleasing her Queen she can survive. After all she feels as if she should be grateful to her Queen for getting her out of the streets and making Delphinia one of Queen Holone's revered Handmaidens - young women trained to force secrets out from unsuspecting traitors and rebels to the crown. 

 

But when an ancient threat and doomed prophecy arise and threatens everyone in the realm Fate steps in and selects a Delphinia to fight in its place for the realm as a Reaper of Dawn.​ An otherworldly being that hasn’t been seen in over a century, gifted the powers of light and justice. As Delphinia unwillingly becomes entangled with the politics, treachery and danger of the realm, she has no choice but to change her plans of survival not only for herself but for the thousands of people who call the realm home.
