Witches discover their powers upon their 15th birthday, where they'll be classified into Covens based upon their environmental abilities. Eliza's entire family consists of Oceanic Witches, that date back centuries to living on the coasts and controlling the coral and sea life around them. But when Eliza's 15th birthday arrives she discovers she is a Cactus Witch, a coven and power sneered at by many.
But Eliza has no other choice than live and train at the Cactus Coven's estate deep in the desert, no where near water or her family. As she trains and learns more about her prickly abilities and their past, she begins to notice not everything is at it seems and many of the witches surrounding her appear to be hiding something.
